ECESA HISTORY
Ecesa was established in 1950
Dedicated to the production of telephone cords and electric cables. Always under a strict quality control, using the appropiate materials and under the specifications and norms that apply.
In 1997 Ecesa decided to diversify , and it installed a new plant for the production of seamless copper tubes.



ECESA is a member of the two main International Associations

 

 

 

 


  
HISTORY OF COPPER TUBE

Copper tube was used as a water conduit by ancient Egyptians as long ago as 2750 bc. Later it was used by Romans for all plumbing. The advantages of copper as a material for plumbing were rediscovered at the beginning of the twentieth century.
Copper tubing was expensive in those days because it could only be joined by threading and screwing.
The cost of copper systems are redeemed by its long life, resistance to corrosion and easy usage.
By 1930 the technology allowed the wall thickness to be reduced by up to 70% in some cases.
Since 1940, copper has become the pre-eminent plumnbing material.
